Shark teeth are among the most-collected fossils worldwide because sharks shed teeth continuously through life and the teeth are well-mineralized. The Calvert Cliffs of Maryland (Miocene), Venice Beach in Florida, and Morocco's Khouribga phosphate beds (Eocene) are the most productive sites.
